Hello!
I'm Calista. Welcome to my backyard!
I've been a flower lover since I was a kid, picking my mom's petunias and putting them in paper cups to sell to the neighbors. I grew up in Utah County in a yard that was filled with roses, phlox, viburnum, forsythia, geraniums, and whatever annuals caught my mom's eye that year. When I was 16 we moved to Clackamas County, Oregon, and I saw my first dahlia patch. I can still remember seeing dinnerplate dahlias for the first time and my jaw smacking the floor in awe.

Fast forward fifteen years. I live in Utah County again, and after my husband and I bought our first house, I started planting dahlias for myself and my three kids. More than any other flower, dahlias have caught my heart and eyes, and I can't seem to get enough. Today I still only plant in my backyard, and am excited to share flowers, tubers, and my love of these incredible flowers with you.
